We’re excited to welcome Mr. Best to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! He will be teaching 8th and 9th grade History. Before joining Warsaw, Mr. Best taught fourth and fifth grade at Humansville School, where he had the opportunity to get to know and work with his students over the past couple of years.
Mr. Best is currently completing his bachelor’s degree in history and is excited to continue learning alongside his students and bring his passion for history into the classroom.
Outside of school, Mr. Best enjoys gaming, reading, singing, driving, and—most importantly—spending time with his daughter, Pyper. He says being a dad is his favorite title and is incredibly proud to be her dad. ❤️
Mr. Best is excited to join Warsaw, get to know the students and staff, and help make a positive impact through teaching. He looks forward to learning alongside his students and creating a great school year together!

We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Ray to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! Originally from Louisiana, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University. While this is her first year as a classroom teacher, she brings years of experience tutoring and working with children in a variety of educational settings.
Mrs. Ray is passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. She is looking forward to creating a classroom where students can learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
Outside of school, Mrs. Ray enjoys creative writing, creating art, and spending time with her family. 🎨✍️

We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Shaffer to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! She has lived in Missouri since she was 12 and has called several communities throughout the state home. She currently lives in Warsaw with her husband, Jr., and their two boys, Spencer and Kayle.
Mrs. Shaffer is a graduate of Warrensburg High School and the University of Central Missouri, where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. She also holds a master’s degree in Elementary Mathematics and a math specialist certification.
Before joining Warsaw, Mrs. Shaffer spent nine years teaching at Leesville Elementary. During her career, she has taught middle school science, music, third grade for six years, fourth and fifth grade math, and social studies. While she loves teaching any subject, her favorites are math and music! 🎶➗
Outside of school, Mrs. Shaffer enjoys spending time outdoors, swimming, canning, and making memories with friends and family.
Mrs. Shaffer is excited to teach fourth grade this year and share her love of education with a new group of students and teachers. She’s looking forward to becoming a Wildcat!

We’re excited to welcome Mr. Rooks to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! He is currently entering his final semester at Southwest Baptist University and will graduate in December with a bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education.
During his time at SBU, Mr. Rooks has gained valuable teaching field experience at Fair Grove, Bolivar, and Buffalo High Schools, preparing him to bring his passion for social studies into the classroom.
Outside of school, Mr. Rooks enjoys disc golfing and reading. He comes from a family with two brothers, two sisters, and his parents.
Mr. Rooks is excited to join Warsaw because of the opportunity to help students develop a love for social studies and make a positive impact in their learning.

We’re excited to welcome Coach Brandon to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! He graduated from Southwest Baptist University, where he played collegiate football while earning his degree in Physical Education. After graduation, he had the opportunity to continue coaching football at SBU before beginning his teaching career.
Outside of school, Coach Brandon enjoys all things sports, working out, spending time outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
Coach Brandon is looking forward to building relationships with students, encouraging them to stay active and healthy, and becoming a positive part of the Warsaw school community.

We’re excited to welcome Mr. Milzarek to the Warsaw R-IX faculty! He brings a strong background in music education and performance, with a Bachelor’s of Music Education with an emphasis in percussion from Pittsburg State University and a Master’s of Music Performance from the University of Missouri–Kansas City.
His teaching experience includes the Mt. Vernon R-V School District and serving as an Adjunct Professor of Percussion at Missouri Southern State University.
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Milzarek enjoys baseball (especially the Chicago Cubs!), cooking, video games, and all things music. He and his wife, Lindsey (who is also joining us this year!), are also expecting a little one in September! Their family includes two cats, Leo and Reggie, and two dogs, Hazel and Mabel. 🐾
Mr. Milzarek is excited to build on the foundation that’s already here and work alongside students, families, and our community to grow a band program that everyone can be proud of.
He shares, “I believe music has the power to shape confident, compassionate, and resilient young people. My goal is to create a program where students feel challenged, supported, and proud of what they accomplish together.”
