WHS Band Camp 2026
Students entering grades 9-12 who are enrolled in band are invited to attend WHS Band Camp Monday, August 3, through Friday, August 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. Lunch will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Join us for a week of music, leadership, team building, games, and fun as we prepare for an amazing school year!
Students should bring:
Their instrument
A water bottle
Snacks
Athletic shoes
Sunscreen
A pencil
Students who are not currently enrolled in band but have previous band experience and would like to participate are encouraged to contact Mr. Milzarek at jmilzarek@warsawk12.org to learn more.
A Message from Mr. Milzarek
Dear Students and Families,
My name is Jack Milzarek, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new Director of Bands for grades 6–12. I am truly excited to join this district and look forward to learning about its students and families.
Band has always been one of the most meaningful parts of my life. It is more than rehearsals and performances — it is where students learn discipline, teamwork, resilience, and pride in accomplishing something together that no one person could achieve alone. That sense of shared purpose is something I am committed to building here.
My commitment to you is simple: we will build a band program rooted in consistency, accountability, and pride. Students will know what is expected of them, and they will be supported every step of the way. We will focus on doing the small things well every day because excellence is built through daily habits, not occasional moments.
Success this year will not be measured by trophies. It will be measured by progress, pride, and the energy in the room when students realize they are capable of more than they thought. I firmly believe that enjoyment and excellence go hand in hand. When students feel connected to what they are doing and having fun, they invest in it. When they invest, they improve. That positive momentum is something we will build together.
Strong communication and partnership with families are very important to me. I will be sending out more information over the next few weeks regarding band camp, schedules, required forms, and important dates.
I am looking forward to meeting each of you, hearing our first notes as a group, and beginning an exciting new chapter for our band program.
