As part of the district’s ongoing Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP), recent data demonstrates progress across academic achievement, safety, climate and culture, staffing, partnerships, and fiscal responsibility. While positive growth is evident across all goal areas, particular momentum has been made in parent and community safety perceptions, student discipline, and stakeholder climate, culture and communication, which are highlighted in greater detail below.

Key Highlights of Progress
Parent & Community Safety Perceptions Strengthen
Baseline: 71.8%
Spring 2025: 71.1%
Fall 2025: 88.4% (+16.6% from baseline, +17.3% from last semester)
After remaining relatively steady through Spring 2025, Fall 2025 results show a significant increase in parent and community perceptions of safety. The 16.6% gain from baseline exceeds the CSIP target goal and reflects continued investment in safety procedures, communication, and trust-building efforts.
Student Discipline Decreases
Baseline (2022–2023): 918 discipline events
2023–2024: 964 events (+5.01%)
2024–2025: 754 events (–21.78%)
While discipline incidents increased during the 2023–2024 school year, the most recent data shows a dramatic reduction in 2024–2025. The nearly 22% decrease year over year far exceeds the annual reduction goal of 2% and reflects the impact of consistent expectations, strengthened behavioral supports, and proactive student intervention.
Climate, Culture & Communication Surveys Improve
Baseline (Fall 2022): 61.5%
Spring 2025: 84.8% (+15.7% from baseline)
Fall 2025: 93.9% (+32.4% from baseline; +9.9% from Spring 2025)
Survey results related to climate, culture, and communication have climbed steadily in the “agree/strongly agree” category. The Fall 2025 agreement rate of 93.9% far exceeds the annual improvement target of 3% and highlights ongoing success in transparency, engagement, and communication efforts.
Overview of Progress Across Other CSIP Goal Areas
Academic Achievement
The district continues to focus on improving student outcomes across multiple measures, including statewide assessments, reading proficiency, and proportional attendance rates. While year-to-year fluctuations are present, recent data shows areas of growth in ELA, math, science, and government performance, as well as continued improvement in local reading assessment results. These trends help guide targeted instructional support and ongoing curriculum alignment.
Staffing, Retention, and Professional Support
The district continues to exceed its CSIP retention goals, with the most recent data showing a 92.7% retention rate for certified staff and a 98.2% retention rate for classified staff, surpassing the annual targets of 90% and 80%, respectively. Additionally, 100% of new teachers have received the required two years of orientation, mentoring, and professional development, ensuring strong instructional continuity and staff support.
Partnerships and Community Engagement
The district has continued to expand partnerships with local businesses and organizations, adding multiple new partners each year. These collaborations reflect the district’s mission to engage, empower, and collaborate, strengthening student learning, wellness, and community connection while supporting a continued tradition of excellence for every student.
Fiscal Responsibility
Financial data reflects continued strength, with the district maintaining a reserve balance well above the 25% target and consistently transferring the maximum allowable funds into the capital projects fund. These practices support long-term stability and responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.
Looking Ahead
Recent CSIP data highlights positive progress across the district. We look forward to continued teamwork as we work toward exceeding CSIP goals through June 2026 and beyond. As we prepare for the next CSIP cycle beginning in March, the CSIP team will reconvene to re-evaluate current district goals, look toward the future, and continue building on our tradition of pride and excellence.
