The Warsaw R-IX Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
Regular Board Meeting
The recipients included Athena Wedlock, South Elementary – Student Spotlight; Dennis Larson and Sharla Shannon – Staff Members of the Month; and LifePointe Church in Warsaw – Wildcat Pride Award recipient.
Presentation
Assistant Superintendent, Mrs. Deckard, presented the district’s Food Service Review, providing the Board with an overview of the district’s food service program.
Budget & Financial Updates
The Board reviewed the September 2026 Budget Review and Operations Line Graph, providing an update on the district’s financial position and operations.

Other New Business & Board Approvals
The Board approved the following items:
Standard Operating Procedures for the Warsaw School Police Department.
Sewer Line Change Order: Approved the change order from Do-Rite in the amount of $53,580.
South School Door Project: Approved the door bids in the amount of $57,665.
Bus Routes: Approved the bus routes with no changes from those previously approved in July 2026.
The Board tabled the AG Roof bids due to an insufficient number of bids received.
Personnel Updates
During closed session, the Board accepted one resignation, approved a Title I services MOU with Cornerstone Academy, and hired two substitutes for the 2026–2027 school year.
